"Where Sun and Sand meet Sea and Sky"

Founder/Creative Director Georgia Hilton began designing clothing and jewelry six years ago while living between Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala. She worked with a fair trade women's cooperative in Guatemala, preserving the traditional Mayan technique of naturally dyed fibres. After having two beautiful children, her focused shifted towards jewelry design and curating. She started out selling along the pacific coast of Mexico to various boutiques. Vayü was officially established in 2017, and can now be found in over 100 stores across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Australia.

The word "vayü" means "sun" in Garifuna, the language spoken on the coast of Honduras. At birth, Georgia’s daughter was nick named “Vayu tigibu”, meaning “round-face like the sun”.
